wide . . . grassy
bounded by stone walls carefully shaped and placed
here in this final jewel of the necklace.
a carriage road perhaps
from some earlier time
when people dressed and rode in carriages
to visit a museum of the natural world.
may we dwell in nature
know we are nature
and may our hearts delight
in the beauty of the world.
